It’s fun to grow up in Memphis and Shelby County, Tennessee!

The 901 Student Passport makes it possible for every student in Memphis to have a fun time throughout the summer. Visit our twelve participating attractions or get a free swim lesson at your local YMCA. Register your 901 Student Passport card to unlock the 901!

Parents: How To Use the
901 Student Passport

  1. Grab Your Card: Receive a Student Passport card from your local YMCA (Shelby County only) or Memphis Public Libraries.

  2. Activate Your Card: Parents should visit 901StudentPassport.com to register your child’s unique card number and personal information.

  3. Visit a Participating Location: View the museums and attractions who are participating in the 2024 Summer Staycation below.

  4. Students – Arrive with Your Passport Card & a Parent: All 901 Student Passport opportunities require a parent.

  5. Enjoy a Memorable Experience: 901 Student Passport experiences are always free, fun, and enriching opportunities for students to explore the community with their family.

  • Who can participate in the 901 Student Passport?
    All school-aged children (kindergarten – 12th grade) who reside in any of the following cities, towns or communities are eligible to participate in the 901 Student Passport program: Memphis, Arlington, Bartlett, Cordova, Collierville, Germantown, Lakeland, Millington, or Unincorporated Shelby County.
  • Where can I find a 901 Student Passport?
    901 Student Passports can be picked up by parents at any YMCA location in Shelby County, TN. Additionally, cards are available at your local Memphis Public Library. Participating museums also have a limited number of cards on hand so you can grab one at your first passport stop. However, you MUST register your card prior to entry.
  • Does it cost money to use a 901 Student Passport?
    The 901 Student Passport is ALWAYS free for a participating student AND the parent who accompanies them. Infants, toddlers, pre-school learners, college students, and additional family members should review each attraction’s normal admission fees for entry. The 901 Student Passport does not cover admission for birthday party or field trip admission.
  • What about transportation?
    The Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) has graciously offered to allow any family to use the bus to get to a participating attraction. The community’s united goal is to ensure that every child who calls Shelby County home has an opportunity to have a fun and enlightening experience this summer. Students must be accompanied by a parent.
